Terms and Conditions for Gifting

Acceptance of Terms and Conditions
By accessing and / or using this website, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions and all policies listed on this website. Lokalize reserves the right to change these terms and conditions as the need arises. New terms and conditions replace and supersede previous terms and conditions.

Eligibility
To participate in the Gifting program, you must be a registered user of our website.

Changing Content
Lokalize reserves the right to change or remove the items that are eligible for the gifting process from time to time. Prices are subject to change without notice.

Modifications to Gifting
Lokalize reserves the right to modify or terminate the Gifting program at any time, with or without notice. Any changes to the program will be reflected in these Terms and Conditions.

Receiving Notifications
By purchasing a gifting product, participants agree to receive email messaging to the email address connected to his/her Lokalize Account.

Gifting Process

  1. Product Selection:
    • Certain products on lokalize.co.za are linked to our Gifting Program. Users have the option to either buy the product as a standard purchase, or buy the product and participate in the Gifting Program.
    • The products eligible for Gifting are marked with the Lokalize icon.
  2. Receiving a Gift Code:
    • Upon purchasing a gifting product, users will receive a unique code sent to the email address associated with their Lokalize profile after the purchase.
  3. Sending the Gift Code:
    • Users can send this code to their friends.
    • Friends can use this code to receive a discount on their purchase. This code can only be used to purchase the same product that the initial customer bought.
  4. Discount for Friends:
    • Friends who use the code will receive a 10% discount on their purchase of the same product.
  5. Reward for the Initial Customer:
    • Once three friends have used the code, the initial customer will be notified and will receive a reward code that will be sent to the email address associated with the Lokalize profile of the initial buyer.
    • The code will allow users to receive a predetermined discount. This amount can vary depending on the initial gifting product they selected. Lokalize reserves the right to change the discounted value.
  6. Redeeming the Reward:
    • The initial buyer can use the reward code to get a discount on their next purchase by entering the code in the field provided during checkout.
    • They can choose to either send the product to themselves or gift the product to a friend.
  7. Gifting the Discounted Product:
    • If the initial buyer chooses to gift the discounted product, they must provide the delivery details for the friend.
    • The system will verify that the friend is not one of the people who used the initial code to purchase the product at a discount.
    • If the friend is not one of the people who used the code, the transaction will be successful.

Limitations
Gifting is only available for products that have the Lokalize icon in the top left corner.
Free delivery for gifting products is applicable only to deliveries within the borders of South Africa.

Code of Conduct / Privacy / Laws
Lokalize‘s website is hosted, controlled and operated in South Africa and is thus governed by South African laws. Lokalize will take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information of all customers of the website. Personal information is defined under the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA).
