HOW IT WORKS: * Algae is a plant that needs fertilizer (“phosphates”). * Strip the phosphates out of pool water and stop algae before it even CAN grow. * Contains lanthanum chloride phosphate remover crystals.

(NOTE: This product is not an algaecide, possesses no algicidal properties and does not interact directly with algae).

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:

  1. Before initial treatment, backwash or clean the filter.
  2. Ensure pH is between 7.2 and 7.6.
  3. Add the required number of tablets directly to the weir basket (each tablet reduces phosphate levels by 1,000ppb per 10,000 litres of water).
  4. Run the filtration system continuously for 4 hours.
  5. Check filter pressure and backwash / clean cartridge if necessary.
  6. Reseal container properly after use.
  7. Resume normal pool care program and enjoy your pool!

MAINTENANCE DOSE
Ideally phosphate levels should be maintained below 125ppb (0.125ppm)

  1. Once ideal levels have been reached, add 2 Starver tablets weekly.
  2. Continue normal pool care program and enjoy your pool!

NOTE:
With very high phosphate levels a slight – but temporary – cloudiness in the water may be observed as the trapped phosphates cluster visibly prior to removal in the filter. Depending on the severity of the phosphate issue, additional tablets may be needed to achieve an acceptable level.
